Associations

Associations

Various events punctuate life at the Magistère. These events are made possible thanks to the involvement of the entire student body, the MAGECO student union, and the other associations in which Magistère students participate.

MAGECO

Founded in 1989 by Magistère students, MAGECO aims to promote students’ individual and collective interests and ensure their representation. It also facilitates the integration of new students into the professional world and develops, maintains, and strengthens ties between alumni and current students. Actively managed by students, MAGECO’s primary role is to ensure cohesion between the different cohorts. The association consists of a president, a vice-president, a treasurer, a secretary, and various department heads.

Bordeaux Investment Club

The Bordeaux Investment Club allows students to gain practical training in financial markets through collective portfolio management. Members develop their skills in financial analysis, investment strategy, and decision-making within a collaborative framework.

Bordeaux Junior Conseil

Bordeaux Junior Conseil is the university’s “Junior Enterprise.” It offers students the opportunity to carry out consulting missions for companies and institutions, mobilizing their academic skills to solve real-world problems (market studies, economic analysis, strategy).

Dev & Co

Dev & Co is an association committed to promoting high-impact projects related to economic and social development issues. It allows students to get involved in concrete initiatives (field missions, research and data analysis, collective projects) in connection with institutional or non-profit partners. The association aims to raise awareness of development issues while offering practical and engaged experience at the crossroads of economic analysis and action.

Integration Weekend (WEI)

The WEI takes place every year during a weekend in September. The main objectives of this weekend are the meeting between different cohorts and the integration of first-year students. Organized by the upper years, the WEI features several activities during the day and, of course, evening social events.

Le Magistérium

Created in 2012, the Magistérium is a festive sporting event that brings together an increasing number of Magistère programs from across France every year during a weekend in March. Each edition is hosted by a different city and offers various activities (sports: futsal, volleyball, handball, basketball…; arts: choreography, cheerleading competitions…; public speaking contests; and other events depending on the year) aimed at fostering competition between the different Magistères.

Afterwork Events

Afterwork events take place every year within the Magistère. Organized in Bordeaux or Paris, these events are an opportunity for all cohorts to meet alumni, as well as professionals from the fields of economics and finance.

The Natixis Challenge

Every year, students from the Magistère and the Master’s program participate in this challenge organized by Natixis. The Challenge invites students to collaborate in teams to manage a virtual portfolio that promotes sustainable investment.
