Professional Development

The program includes numerous opportunities to meet industry experts and features three mandatory internships. The goal is to maximize professional exposure, allowing students to gain practical knowledge and define their career paths.

Professional Modules

A wide range of courses and modules are taught by professionals from diverse backgrounds (major corporations, international organizations, research centers, and government ministries), many of whom are alumni of our programs.

Career Talks

These courses are complemented by career conferences featuring guest speakers working in France or abroad (“Magistère Around the World”).

Networking Events

Informal “After Work” gatherings also provide students with opportunities to connect with Alumni and key figures from the economic and financial sectors.

Field Trip & Business Trip

The highlight of the third year is a study trip to Paris, designed to connect students with the economic world and the Magistère alumni network. It offers a unique opportunity to dive into diverse professional environments and apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges on the ground.

For MAGEVAL students, the Field Trip facilitates meetings with experts in public policy evaluation and development programs. It is an opportunity to engage with prestigious institutions such as the OECD, the French Development Agency (AFD), the World Bank, France Stratégie, and CEPII, as well as smaller organizations (such as the consultancy firm CITIZING), ministerial research departments, and NGOs.

For MAGEFI students, the Business Trip provides a hands-on immersion into the world of finance, trading, and economic forecasting. Students explore the core of major groups like Natixis, Amundi, Oddo, Groupe Caisse des Dépôts, BNP Paribas, Société Générale, and Euronext. They also connect with alumni at audit and consultancy firms (KPMG, Deloitte), companies in the commodities sector (ENGIE), and the Bank of France.

Internships

Internships take place every year and are a cornerstone of the Magistère program. The first internship offers an initial opportunity for exploration. In the second and third years, these placements allow students to refine their career goals, showcase their skills, and gain deeper expertise.

To complement this experience, soft skills modules led by occupational psychologists strengthen essential professional competencies: communication, CV writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies.

The Magistère also draws on a dynamic ecosystem, including an active alumni network, shared internship opportunities (notably via LinkedIn), professional guest speakers, and networking events.

Explore our Global Outlook

The Magistère is a resolutely international program, featuring small-group language classes, an increasing share of courses taught in English throughout the curriculum, and a mandatory semester of study abroad at the beginning of the second year.

Starting from the very first semester, English courses are designed to strengthen students’ language skills in preparation for their international mobility applications.
